LoL Strats

Some strats we discussed tonight: (also some are my personal opinions)

If a team is pressuring our lanes, we should pressure back by pushing the lane back and gaining control again of the lane. Either by ganks from top or mid, or by generically just trying to push it back by getting cs super fast.

If the other team has no jungle, our jungler can go back in lane or just totally invade their jungle. Or mid, top, bot, could just take whatever part of their jungle is closest to them.

If wraiths are up by mid (OUR WRAITHS) and the jungler is no where near them, just take them. They respawn in 50 seconds anyways. Just make sure it is ok with the person jungling.

If we find ourselves at a loss what to do, we need to consider objectives: Red buff, blue buff, dragon, baron, turrets. Killing the other team is nice, but those are the objectives that seem to help win the game the most and in the end those help us kill the other team the best. A clear plan is best. No running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Sometimes patience is more rewarding than running in. Let THEM make the mistakes while we have a clear objective in our minds.

If a champ is great at farming, like Malz, Ahri, or Morg. Anyone who farms and can gank well (not limited to those 3, they are just examples!!!) should farm the creeps, push mid, and then go ganking too.

A strategy: If running around as a team doesn't help, just have someone who can push like crazy pressure another lane.

WARDS WARDS WARDS - knowing where the enemy is at all times is great. We need a ward always at dragon, baron, and tri brushes.

Know the champ chosen: please play bot games with the champs you want to get better with. Even custom games help learning. Co-op vs Ai too. Knowing your champ and their limitations are key to winning lanes.

I also feel like we focus too much on champion kills. We shouldn't try to gank tanks that are wandering randomly in the jungle. Gank the junglers, the squishies, not the tanks. If we see a Shen or a Singed, it probably isn't a good idea to have 4 of us chase him in a gank during a close game. I hope that makes sense! Lets focus on the main objectives: turrets, dragons, baron.

Communication is important.

I'll ponder some comps tomorrow. I'll post some now that I can think off of my head.

Have we though about doing a roamer instead of a jungle? Just a thought it allows the lanes to safely push hard as well as not missing out on cs and passing the buffs around. I'm thinking that a tanky support like alistar or taric would be a great roamer focus on g/5 items and get a oracles to keep down on the amount of vision. Just a thought to play around with. Maybe even a jungle and roamer?! Kinda risky but the rewards might be large.

I would be worried that the xp wouldn't be good for a roamer. Since jungle change, if a jungler fails a gank, the xp is gone. Seems would be way worse for a roamer. I don't know if I'm misinterpreting what it is you are suggesting. We could try it.

I also feel like having two support types (those two you suggested) in a game could be kind of weak. Bot lane could have a non-traditional supporter, which isn't bad, but they lose out hard on getting the big items (expensive) that could help them late game unless bot lane shares, which can gimp the carry mid game.

I hope I make sense. It's 2 am and I'm kind of tired! Just let me know if I've misinterpreted!

I've always been under the thinking that if bot lane is holding thier own, support should try for a gank on mid. But dedicating roaming seems risky. I'd be open to try it, though.
