Please follow these steps
below to enable your admin_mod password.

Step 1. style='mso-spacerun:yes'> Create an style='mso-spacerun:yes'> adminpass.cfg
file on your machine and place it in your cstrike
dir. Make sure you have this line:

class=SpellE>setinfo "pw-home"
"password"

note "password" should be your password or the default password

 

Step
2. Create a shortcut on your desktop to CS, or copy an existing shortcut. Edit the shortcut, and in the
"Target" field, add the these two texts:

+exec adminpass.cfg

+connect 66.74.66.254

For example, if your Counter-Strike shortcut looked like this:

C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe
-console -dev -game cstrike

you
would change it to say:


C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\hl.exe
-console -dev -game cstrike +exec adminpass.cfg
+connect 66.73.48.254

NOTE: Never use the shortcut for admin privileges to connect to a
server other than the one you are an admin on, or you will risk exposing
your password to the outside world.

To set up your shortcut to allow you to automatically connect to your
server, add: +connect 0.0.0.0 - and put your server's IP address in place of
the zeros.  If the server is full this is the best way to get in.

If you need to load your password configuration file again while in
the game, you can type: exec class=SpellE>adminpass.cfg in the console. This loads the information in the
file in the same way the startup shortcut does.

Sorry that this is turning out to be such a pain in the ass.  Please
contact me or email me with any suggestions on the server.  I want folks to
go to it and say "GOOD GOSH DAMN! That clan rocks!"  The main purpose for
Admin_Mod is to allow us to get in at any time we like and control llamas (and
boy do they fill up this server quick.)  There are 16 slots but only 12 are
public.

For those of you who couldn't make it to tonight's meeting, we made a few decisions:

First, Atkins is going to be in charge of the competition team. They're going to find us scrims on our practice days, and getting us enrolled in a ladder. We're shooting for a bid in STA or CAL. Wulfie and Cisco are the main guys in this operation. They're going to be looking for guys to play, and checking it out with Atkins.

Second, is the Strategy team. I'll be heading up this group, and working with No-Life. We're going to go over the strategy we have, and think up new stuff for what we don't have. This is going to be a lot of fun, so if any of you guys are interested in helping out, let NL know!

We also gained 2 new kick-ass trainees! Everyone make sure to welcome Roland and KFC (Formely Kildt_Chicken) to the clan! They both are EXCELLENT players, and both work very well as a team. I'm proud to have them both onboard.

There are also a few promotions to announce! First, please congratulate No-Life. He's now a Ranger soldier. He got the promotion for his participation, and willingness to to go above and beyond playing CS. Thanks for your efforts NL!

The other promotion is for Cisco. For a new trainee, he's very dedicated, and has also volunteered for extra clan duties. He's setting the standard for clan participation. Thanks for your effort!

I also wanted to use this opportunity to thank Hozhead for the KICKASS server he put up. It's becoming the primary CS server for the rangers, and it wouldn't have happened without his hard work (learning admin_mod) and a very nice T-1 line! See you on cs4! :)

Lastly, we talked about who is going to be on Alpha team. This is the primary team that will represent the Rangers in Ladders, tourneys and scrims. I'm still looking at what the troops think, and should have a decision soon. To those who were there, thanks! In this gaming scene showing up is half the battle, and you guys are the one holding the clan together. Thanks!!!

Participation has been lax to say the least since the beginning of summer.. we can make this game fun again! The Cyberathlete Amateur League is beginning its semi-finals. The time between now, and the beginning of the new season will give us time to hone our skills, and learn to work better as a team together. We each have different skills to bring to this team, my feeling is that once we learn each of our teammates style of play, we will begin to kick ass.

After tonight's scrim, I've decided on an Alpha team. A lot was considered when coming up with this group... availibility for upcoming matches and scrims, skill, and team "chemisty" all were key decision points. Just remember, while alpha is a solid team, it's not set in stone. If you improve, and work as a team you to can be there. Without any further delay, the Alpha team is as follows:

Congratulations men! I was really happy to see the way you've been playing!

There will be designated subs as well. I'll announce those when I get a better idea of a few Ranger's schedules.

First, we lost a Ranger today… to the US Marine Corps. Everyone think about Roland for a second, and appreciate that he has the nuts to join up and serve his country. I salute him for it. We’re proud of ya Roland!

On with the NEWS.

We’ve signed up, and have been accepted into the Iron Glove league. It looks alright, and Lok’s brother runs the thing. As much as I want to get into a ladder, I want you guys to check out the rules for the IGL… I think they’re bordering on anal retentive. I just want your opinion. Let me know if you guys think you could handle doing all the stuff they have listed in their rules. CAL will be starting up soon, and they’re not quite as stringent, so please get back to me, and let me know what you think.

Also, we have practice tomorrow. Since we’re gearing up for a ladder, let’s try and get another clan to scrim.

Do NOT schedule anything without getting positive confirmation from all the players you need +1. Also make sure you allow 15-30 minutes to go over positions / strategy on the map you’re playing. Planning is 50% of your game guys, don’t forget to do it, and get slaughtered… this is a TEAM game. If we can’t round up another clan, we’ll do a strict intra-clan match.

I'd like to welcome, and congratulate our latest Trainee, [R2]Hannibal! He's basically our hoe for the next two weeks, as we evaluate, and torture him. I know he'll live up to the challenge. :)

Today we played against a great clan in a couple of scrims. Clan 404 are a bunch or great guys, who really gave our Alpha and Bravo Squads a run for their money! Thanks for making us a better team, and sticking it out for 4 hours! Don't worry, we'll be here if you want a rematch! (Thanks in particular to the Ex-Ranger, Qhalo now a 404 man.)

As you can tell, we're gearing up for a ladder, and participation and and morale are great! Check out the channel. It's packed, and we always have guys ready to play. This is an exciting time for us, keep it up!
